Teddy Bear Toast

There are so many reasons to love our teddy bear toast recipe. But my favorite things about this breakfast are:

  • It’s a VERY quick breakfast to make with minimal prep, it pretty much takes as long as it would to toast and butter a slice of bread.
  • It’s fun and super cute and
  • It’s easily customisable to make other cute animal faces.
  • They are a great sleepover breakfast idea, providing there are no nut allergies of course.

Teddy Bear Toast Ingredients

  • Sliced white bread (or bread of your choosing)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Banana
  • Raisins

How to make Bear Toast Instructions

Pop your bread into the toast and toast until golden brown.

Spread a good helping of peanut butter onto the toast, so it is completely covered and has an even brown color.

Slice a banana.

Add two even banana slices from the center of the banana into the two top corners of the toast to make ears.

Add a third slice into the center of the bread for a nose.

Add 3 raisins, one on the top of the central banana/banana nose and two evenly sized and shaped raisins just above to create 2 eyes.

Serve and wait for the giggles of delight from your children!

Substitutions & Variations

Want to try something different? Here are some options.

  • Nutella – for a darker brown bear you could spread the toast with Nutella instead of peanut butter
  • Cream Cheese – if you have a nut allergy to contend with or want to make some Festive toast why not try adding cream cheese to make some Polar Bear Toast
  • Blueberries – we used raisins for the eyes and nose, however blueberries work equally well.
  • Chocolate Chips – we tried to keep this healthy with raisins but chocolate chips also work well for the eyes and nose!

Storage

We recommend making and eating this teddy bear toast straight away.
